Frozen Prairie Race Series
The Frozen Prairie Race Series is Regina’s weekly, low-pressure, high-fun winter racing and social skiing series for adults.
It’s designed for skiers who enjoy friendly competition, personal challenges, and community — whether you’re racing hard, touring the course, or just coming out to ski with others on a winter evening.
⚠️ Stay Up to Date – This Is Important
The Frozen Prairie Race Series is weather- and trail-dependent.
Venues, formats, start times, and even race days can change week to week.
👉 Our Facebook group is the primary communication hub for the series.
All weekly decisions, updates, results, photos, and stories are shared here:

If you plan to ski with us — even occasionally — joining this group is essential.
What Is the Frozen Prairie Race Series?
The Frozen Prairie Race Series is a casual, inclusive adult ski series hosted by the Regina Ski Club throughout the winter.
Each week features:
-
A different theme or race format
-
A welcoming atmosphere for all adult abilities
-
Opportunities to ski hard, ski easy, or ski socially
-
A strong sense of community and shared experience
You do not need to be an elite racer — or even consider yourself a “racer” — to participate.

Adult skiers of all abilities
-
Current racers and returning racers
-
Club members looking for a weekly reason to ski
-
Skiers curious about racing in a supportive, non-intimidating environment
-
Anyone who enjoys skiing with others and being part of a winter community
You can:
-
Race
-
Tour the course
-
Come for the social side
-
Skip weeks and jump back in anytime
How the Series Works
-
Races are typically held on Tuesday evenings
-
The day, time, venue, or format may change based on weather and trail conditions
-
Each week has a different theme or format (distance, technique, fun challenges, etc.)
-
Some skiers track times and laps; others simply ski and enjoy the atmosphere
Because conditions change quickly, weekly details are not locked in far in advance.
That’s why the Facebook group is so important.
