Adult Programing

Group programming is for parents of Nordic Youth skiers, active-for-life or competitive-for-life masters skiers.
Programming will focus on Nordiq Canada Skate Skiing Techniques and will be provided by a Nordiq Canada Certified Coach.

On-snow Group sessions will be at White Butte Trails, at times to suit the group’s schedules.
Roller skiing sessions will be at Conexus Art Centre and/or the Arboretum Trails in Regina.
Packages may be used for combination of roller skiing and on-snow sessions.
Sessions are 60 minutes in length and all abilities are welcome.

Fees will go to support the Nordic Youth Ski Program. Registrants will be added to the Regina Ski Club Masters Team.

To register for the roller ski program, you must be a member of the Regina Ski Club.

You can register for club membership as you register for the lessons.
Prior on-snow skate skiing experience is also required before registering for the roller ski program.

Cross Country Ski Lessons for Adults 2024 – 2025

While cross country skiing appears simple, instruction can make skiing less effort and more fun, enabling you to go further and ski faster. A Regina Ski Club instructor can help get you started – or get much better – in one of the best winter sports in Regina! This season we are offering courses to adults in beginner classic and skate skiing technique

Ski lessons take place in Regina on machine groomed trails maintained by Regina Ski Club volunteers. Beginner Class size is limited to 6 participants usually fill up well before start date, so register early to reserve your place. More courses may be added to the schedule as the season progresses, depending on instructor availability, weather, etc.

Weekend LEARN TO CLASSIC SKI COURSES ( 2* 90 min Sessions) – $75.00

Course 1: Dec 7,8 (10:00 – 11:30 am) ** Registration will be opened if trail conditions allow

Course 2: Jan 11,12 (10:00 – 11:30 am)

Weeknight LEARN TO CLASSIC SKI COURSES ( 3 * 60 min Sessions) – $75.00

Course 3: Jan 7, 8, 9 (6:00 – 7:00 pm)

Course 4: Feb 4, 5, 6 (6:30 – 7:30 pm)

Each course covers identical content – waxing theory, basic diagonal stride techniques, including balance and weight transfer, double poling, herringbone and snow plow, turning and stopping. Suitable for those who have never skied before or have had no formal instruction.

LEARN TO SKATE SKI COURSES ( 3 * 60 min Sessions) – $75.00

Course 5: Jan 7, 8, 9 (7:30 pm – 8:30 pm)

Introduction to the basic skate ski techniques. Suitable for those who have never skied before or have had no formal instruction.

How to register…

Club members or those wishing to become club members can register online via the Regina Ski Club 2024-2025 registration page on Zone 4 .

Class location…

Classes will be hosted on Regina ski club groomed and set trails, either at Kinsmen park or the Science Center subject to conditions. Final course location will be emailed out the week prior to the course date.

A note about bad weather…

Sessions will be rescheduled by the instructor in the event of bad weather. The instructor will contact you if a session needs to be cancelled.
