Please plan to attend. The meeting will create an opportunity to visit with friends as a wrap up to the ski season and the business meeting is an essential part of the club’s annual cycle. \nBusiness will include a review of finances\, a report on the year’s activities and election of the Board. \nThe nominations committee is currently looking for someone to serve as president and someone to serve as secretary. Linda Lyster and I have concluded that after 11 years its time for change at the top. If you or someone you know might be interested in one of these positions\, please call Dale Hjertaas at 306 529 3234. \nI also note that while our Treasurer and Webmaster have agreed to stand for re-election\, both have noted a desire to retire soon. So\, think about whether you could serve the club as Webmaster or Treasurer. Don’t hesitate to volunteer. \nAt this meeting we will also consider a number of amendments to our Bylaws. We need to make changes to get into compliance with the NonProfit Corporations Act and other changes are being proposed for general improvement of the society. We report on the activities of the year and elect executive members to lead the Club for the next year. \nThis year the Board has decided to have a virtual meeting using Zoom on a weekday evening. This is to accommodate those members who are still involved in late season weekend races or are out of town. We also hope that it is equally convenient for those in the alpine\, biathlon and Nordic activities within the club. \nThe meeting will be held Monday March 13\, 2023 at 8:00 P.M. It is anticipated that the meeting will be relatively short in duration. \nPlease seriously consider nominating someone or volunteering to be a member of the Board of Directors. Directors meet monthly to share what the many sectors of the club are doing and to make decisions about club activities and policy. The positions of Vice President and Alpine Recreational Director are currently vacant\, and others may become vacant. \nPlease indicate you intend to attend the meeting by emailing club president Dale Hjertaas .
