Volunteers will meet at the WBT main trailhead about 10:00 AM on Sunday October 22\, weather permitting\, to receive instructions. Volunteers will be assigned to one of five groups to be lead by a RSC trail groomer\, to trim trail edges of tree/shrub branches. Bring hand held branch clipping tools & wear sturdy clothes\, shoes & gloves.  Water bottles would also be advised. The work session will take about 2-3 hours\, after which a hot dog BBQ & other refreshments will be provided under direction of RSC Social Director Leona Spruyt. Due to weather the date may need to change but an email notice will be circulated to RSC members a couple of days in advance confirming or adjusting the date. This is to accommodate those members who are still involved in late season weekend races or are out of town. We also hope that it is equally convenient for those in the alpine\, biathlon and Nordic activities within the club. \nThe meeting will be held Monday March 13\, 2023 at 8:00 P.M. It is anticipated that the meeting will be relatively short in duration. \nPlease seriously consider nominating someone or volunteering to be a member of the Board of Directors. Directors meet monthly to share what the many sectors of the club are doing and to make decisions about club activities and policy. Alpine events will be held at several downhill ski resorts\, including Mission Ridge at Fort Qu’Appelle. \nTo register\, email joinus.sask@skipatrol.ca \nMembers of the Canadian Ski Patrol\, Qu’Appelle Zone provide ski patrol services at Mission Ridge Winter Park in Fort Qu’Appelle. Ski Patrol members also provide first aid services to community events in Regina and nearby towns. Watch this page or the Regina Ski Club Facebook page for confirmation November 4. We usually get 35-50 volunteers to clip branches encroaching over ski trails. Work clothes\, gloves & long clippers are required. Meet at main trailhead 9:30…ish\, form several small crews\, guided by grooming crew members\, for 2 hours work on various sections of trail. It takes place at several venues throughout Wascana Centre throughout Sunday and Monday of the Family Day weekend. Sports and other fun activities include cross-country skiing\, ice skating\, fat bike races\, horse-drawn wagon rides\, snow cricket\, and outhouse races. \nThe Regina Ski Club will be hosting the cross-country skiing portion of the festival at the Saskatchewan Science Centre trails throughout the day on both Sunday and Monday.
